Before the beginning - Our Story

We are Joan and Albert from Girona and Olot (Catalonia). We live very close in Catalonia but we didn't know each other until met here in Perth, Western Australia. 

I organised with one friend a human chain for the independence of Catalonia here in Perth and there is where I met Joan. We connect immediately because we live in the same region and have a lot in common. When I saw him for the first time, I thought: "such a crazy guy from the mountains, have to be a good guy." And I was right, he is such a funny crazy man. He explains to me that he was been travelling  around south-east of Asia, living with the locals, living in virgin islands and more amazing stories. His next destination will be to do a path-walk one month on New Zealand and he ask me if I want to join in that adventure. 

I was not sure, sounds perfect, but i just came from the Gold Coast to Perth for try find one sponsorship as a chef for stay here longer in Australia and make some money. And I founded one place who wants to give me the sponsorship, but if I accepted this i needed to stay on the same place about 4 years for apply to the Australian permanent residence, witch is the goal of all this visa process. I had no energy for this, and I look for some trip in New Zealand and i found Te Araroa. One new path-walk crossing north and south islands on New Zealand, more than 3000 km , 18 pics or more than 3000 mtrs, 4 months walking. The adventure of my life in front of my screen, and my heart took the decision, let's go to New Zealand!

I told to Joan and we love the idea straight away. We start to thing millions of possibilities for do within this trip, and still thinking in lots more. We will do a list of jokes to do within our trip and record these with our new Go(Hong)PRO (fell free to give us some ideas about the jokes!) Also we want to do our blog and one YouTube channel for upload the best part of our path walk (we will working on it, not our best the new technologies hahaha)
